What does a good apprenticeship look like?
Are you an apprentice or thinking of starting an apprenticeship?
An apprenticeship should be the start of a long and rewarding career in a trade or industry that you love.
Sadly, apprenticeships can be like the wild-west, with cowboy operators using and abusing apprentices, stealing their wages, and denying them proper training.
Join us at the Young Workers Centre's Apprentice Expo where you'll learn about your rights at work as an apprentice and how to seek support if you do encounter problems at work. You'll also hear from other apprentices about their work and you'll meet other young workers and unions.
The expo is open to all current apprentices in any industry, those thinking of starting an apprentice, VCAL students, or those who are recently qualified.
