Calling all Ballarat and Central Highlands teachers!

The Young Workers Centre is visiting the historic Ballarat Trades Hall on Friday 16 June 2023 to deliver training to young people, year 10 and above, about their rights at work, and you are invited to register your students to attend!  

The Young Workers Centre Outreach Organisers will present two sessions on Your Rights at Work – a basic rundown of workplace information including contracts, payslips and how to find your minimum wage and your right to a safe workplace free from bullying, discrimination and harassment.  

The first session is from 11am-12.15pm and the second session is from 1.30-2.45pm. 

It is essential to RSVP, you can register your class/es here.  Both sessions will cover the same content so you only need to book a class in for one session. 

This is a great opportunity to prepare students for their working lives, as well as an opportunity to visit the historic Ballarat Trades Hall, the second oldest Trades and Labour Council in the world! Ballarat Trades Hall is located at 24 Camp St, Ballarat and schools are responsible for transporting their students to and from the venue.
