Hooi Fen Ong and the Young Workers Centre have this week been awarded almost $230,000 in penalties against Ms Ong’s former employer, Dark Horse Entertainment Pty Ltd, by the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia.
These penalties are a direct result of Dark Horse Entertainment Pty Ltd’s failure to pay Ms Ong more than $13,000 in wages due to her, and for unlawfully terminating Ms Ong after she made various requests to be paid.
