The Young Workers Centre - Legal Centre

The Young Workers Centre is an accredited community legal centre in Victoria. We provide free advice and representation to young people under the age of 30 with employment law issues.

The Young Workers Centre is temporarily closed to new enquiries.

Other organisations that could help include your union, JobWatch, Victorian Legal Aid or the Fair Work Commission. Remember you have 21 days from the date you were dismissed to lodge an unfair dismissal or general protections claim.

Young Workers Centre are a small team of lawyers, paralegals, and volunteers. We have been operating as a community legal centre since February 2016. In that time, we have recovered over $3,000,000.00 for young workers in Victoria.

The Young Workers Centre thanks the Australian Attorney General's Department and the Victorian Department of Justice and Attorney-General for their allocation of three years' of funding for our senior solicitor position through the Community Legal Services Program. We also thank EML and WorkSafe for funding our solicitor positions.
