You’ve got bosses who underpay, bully, and prevent their apprentices from attending TAFE - all so they can exploit their cheap labour.

In Victoria, only 46 percent of all apprentices finish their courses - we know from the research that the majority say it’s because of how they’re treated by their bosses.

We need a licensing system to vet bosses and stop repeat offenders just cycling through apprentices.

Right now it’s easier to hire an apprentice than to get a liquor license – and these are young lives and people’s futures at stake.
